Drinking sufficient amounts of water every day is key for proper health. The recommended daily amount is between 6 and 8 glasses, but rarely anyone drinks more than 5.
In order to see what effects water has on our health and appearance, one British woman tried an experiment which changed her life.
Sarah Smith is a 42-year old British woman who, like everyone else, wasn’t drinking enough water every day. As a result, she suffered from indigestion and headaches frequently.
After consulting with her doctor, Sarah decided to increase her water intake. She started drinking at least 3 l. of water every day and documented the process which lasted for a month. The results were stunning!
“I am 42, but have to admit I look more like 52 in this picture, which is shocking. There are dark shadows under and around my eyes, which make me look exhausted, a profusion of wrinkles and strange reddish blotches, and my skin lacks any luster.
It looks dead…even my lips look shriveled,” says Sarah about the first picture taken at the beginning of the experiment. After only one week, her bowel movements were significantly improved, and her urine was clearer than before. She experienced sudden skin breakouts due to the amount of toxins being flushed out of her body. After 7 day, her headaches were gone, and she wasn’t suffering from joint stiffness as well.
Two weeks in the experiment and Sarah saw big improvements in her complexion. She said that she wasn’t looking as creepy as before, and her stomach was flatter as well.
After three weeks, Sarah’s wrinkles and dark stains were completely gone from her face, and her skin was looking noticeable better.
At this stage, she also started eating less as her frequent cravings from before that made her eat were actually thirst. According to studies, 37% of people mistake thirst for hunger, but drinking the recommended amount can easily resolve this and other problems.
