Tanzilya Bisembaeva recently celebrated her 120th birthday, making her the oldest woman in the world. She claims that she was born in 1896 in a village in South Russia, and if she finds her birth certificate, she will officially be recognized as the oldest person in the world, surpassing the previous record (116 years) held by an Italian woman named Emma Morano.
According to her family, the secret to Tanzilya’s longevity is her active lifestyle and her diet. Not smoking surely helps as well. The woman has spent her lifetime working in the field, and she managed to survive both World Wars, the death of two husbands as well as her youngest child.
